Susan Rogers has built three different and successful careers in the music industry. In the 80s, Rogers was Prince’s sound engineer in the recording sessions for albums such as Sign ‘o the Times, Around the World in a Day or Purple Rain. In the 90s, she started a brilliant career as producer for David Byrne, Tricky and Barenaked Ladies, for whom she produced a multi-platinum record. After this album, Rogers focused on the academic world and she earned a PhD in Psychology. She is specialized in psychoacoustics and music cognition. Her research -in her lab at Berklee, where she is currently lecturing- focuses on auditory memory, the perception of musical signals, auditory development and, in the end, how brain interacts with music.
Susan Rogers will show us the relationship between intelligence and music, and will share more than 30 years of experience working with top level professionals in the music industry.
